Ophthalmology

Vision correction and eye surgery, with every check-up planned before you fly.

What is ophthalmology?

Ophthalmology is the medical specialty that diagnoses and treats diseases of the eye and corrects vision. Before any procedure, a complete eye exam confirms whether you are a candidate and which technique suits you. Your stay includes the post-operative checks your ophthalmologist requires before you travel.

Frequently asked questions

Am I a candidate for LASIK?

It depends on the eye exam: corneal thickness, a stable prescription and the health of your eyes. If LASIK is not right for you, your ophthalmologist explains the alternatives.

How long should I stay?

About 3 to 4 days for LASIK, 2 to 3 days for glaucoma laser and 7 to 8 days for intraocular lens surgery. Your ophthalmologist confirms it at the assessment.

Can I fly right after the procedure?

Only after the post-operative check and with your ophthalmologist’s approval. The suggested stay already includes it.
